They do not govern any engagement between us. If you engage Akontec, a separate written agreement applies and takes precedence over anything on this website.

Nothing here is advice

The content of this site is general information about setting up and operating delivery-only kitchens in the United States and the United Kingdom. It is not legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, insurance, immigration or food safety advice, and it is not a recommendation to enter any particular venture.

Akontec is not a law firm, an accountancy practice, a licensed insurance broker, an immigration adviser, an environmental health authority or a food safety auditor. Regulated work in any venture we coordinate is performed by independent licensed professionals in the relevant jurisdiction, engaged directly by you.

You should take your own professional advice before committing capital.

No guarantees of outcome

Nothing on this site is a promise, projection, forecast or guarantee of income, profit, order volume, return or business success. Any figures shown are illustrative planning ranges based on stated assumptions and will not match your actual results.

We do not guarantee that any company will be formed within a given period, that any permit, registration or planning permission will be granted, that any inspection will be passed or any particular hygiene rating awarded, that any landlord will consent to a flue route, that any utility upgrade will be delivered on a given date, that any bank account will be opened, that any delivery platform will accept or maintain a listing, or that any business will trade profitably.

Every venture carries the risk of loss, including the total loss of capital deployed.

Platform commission and policies

Delivery platform commission rates, promotion costs, listing visibility, ranking and account status are set by the platforms concerned and can change without notice. Any commission range described on this site is indicative of typical market practice and is not a rate we can secure for you.

Ownership does not confer immigration rights

Owning or holding an interest in a company in the United States or the United Kingdom does not give you any visa, residence permit, right of entry or right to work in that country. Nothing on this site should be read as suggesting otherwise. We do not provide immigration advice and will not assist with any arrangement designed to circumvent immigration requirements.

Fees and figures

Fee structures described on this site are indicative of how we normally charge. They are not an offer. Specific percentages, minimums, thresholds and amounts are agreed per venture and set out in a written proposal and order form.

The engagement fee to begin the process and the capital requirement for a venture are separate figures and should not be confused.

Your use of the site

You may view, print and download content for your own reference. You may not republish, sell, systematically copy or scrape the site, or use it to build a competing service, without our written consent.

You must not attempt to interfere with the site, submit automated or fraudulent enquiries, or use the enquiry form for anything other than a genuine enquiry.
